I’m so proud of the organizations in the @GirlsOpportunityAlliance that are supporting girls in Chicago, including @MEANGirlsEmpowerment —which stands for Manage Emotions Avoid Negativity. They help girls develop ways to take care of their mental health, emotional well-being, nutrition, and more.
We recently supported the expansion of their Girls Health Matters initiative, which allowed them to get a mobile health van to provide girls in Chicago with helpful resources and access to educational workshops. It’s the first day of summer and what better way to celebrate than by kicking off the first-ever PLEZi Absurdly Good Games — a competition that challenges young people to get out there and share the unique ways they stay active.
As Co-Founder and Strategic Partner of @plezinutrition — a public benefit company dedicated to raising a healthier generation of kids that offers delicious, better-for-you drinks — I’m excited to see all the fun ways you get moving.

My mom Marian Robinson was my rock, always there for whatever I needed. She was the same steady backstop for our entire family, and we are heartbroken to share she passed away today. We wanted to offer some reflections on her remarkable life:
This Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islanders Heritage Month, we wanted to share the story of Ashley Johnson – a leader in our @ObamaFoundation Leaders USA program who is using her talents to create change.
Ashley is a Hawai’i native who founded Mohala Eyewear. For every pair of glasses she sells, she donates to Room to Read – an organization in our @GirlsOpportunityAlliance Network – that helps girls around the world stay in school and learn how to read.
