Share this to remind others that they matter. You never know who's struggling and might need to see this.💛 Many life circumstances can bring us to a place of hopelessness or apathy. Family issues, injustice, bullying, and just feeling stuck in the daily grind can leave you wondering, “Is it even worth it?” Whatever the cause, your feelings are valid. What’s important is how you choose to handle them. Hopelessness and even suicidal thoughts don’t last forever, unlike suicide itself. If you are having suicidal thoughts, call or text 9-8-8. This is the number for the U.S. National Lifeline. When you call or text it, you will be connected with a trained counselor who can provide confidential support — you are not alone.🤍 🔗For more reasons to keep going, visit the link in bio. #healthline #psychcentral #suicideawarenessmonth

The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline has officially been shorted to 9-8-8 as of July 16, 2022.📱The goal of shortening this number is to make accessing mental health help that much easier.💚 When you call or text 9-8-8, you will be connected to trained counselors who are there to listen, provide support, and connect you to any resources necessary. If you're worried about a loved one, you can also call on their behalf for guidance from a trained counselor.

Anything you do recreationally that brings you joy or excitement counts as playing, whether it’s getting sucked into a video game, playing sports, collecting stamps, or writing short stories in your spare time. 🔗 Learn more at our link in bio.

It’s not uncommon for empathetic and narcissistic personalities to be drawn together in relationships. “Empathetic people seem to attract narcissistic personalities because they absorb feelings from others very easily, almost like an emotional sponge,” explains Dr. Holly Schiff, a licensed clinical psychologist in Greenwich, Connecticut. Schiff also notes that this same quality is often what attracts a person with narcissism. The more selfless and caring you are, the more the narcissistic person may see an opportunity to get their own needs met without having to do much in return. 🔗 Learn more in our bio.
