♻️💻Did you know that our partner Renewed Computer Technology (RCT) does much more than recycle e-waste?
RCT is a charitable nonprofit, and its primary goal is actually to refurbish and reuse as many items as possible, making essential technologies accessible to learners, educators, and organizations in need throughout Canada.
Of course, items that cannot be renewed and reused are responsibly recycled wherever possible, keeping our unwanted tech out of landfills.
To put your unneeded technology to good use, consider donating it to RCT at our next REmarket, which is being held on June 12 & 13, 2024, at the St. Lawrence Market (
@stlawrencemarket ) in Old Town Toronto.
We currently accept the following items:
Computers (laptop and desktop)
Cell phones (all brands and types)
Computer monitors
TVs
Gaming systems
Printers and scanners
Landline phones
Cords, cables, and chargers
Keyboards and mouses
Storage devices
Don’t see your item on this list? Feel free to bring it by REmarket anyway! Even if RCT can’t use it, most other technological items can be diverted into our FreeMarket event or accepted by The Salvation Army.
Technology Tip: Don’t forget to wipe your devices of any personal data! While RCT also removes personal data from all devices they refurbish, wiping your device yourself is the best way to ensure that your privacy is protected.
Hope to see you (and your previously loved tech items) at the next REmarket!
