From Hyde Park to Trafalgar Square, over 32,000 people walked the colourful march for the annual Pride In London parade that took place this past weekend in the capital 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ Fronted by the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, he shared why the event in support of equality has been a key staple of his premiership: “Pride is one of the highlights of my year and it is an honour to have been on every march since I was first elected as mayor in 2016,” his statement reads. Adding: “There is, however, still work to be done to achieve true equality, and as a proud ally, I’ll continue to stand side by side with our capital’s LGBTQI+ communities as we work to build a better London for all.” The day included the parade, live music performances in Trafalgar Square and throughout Soho, alongside community activities and celebrations.
