This is so intresting. The poets and the Delauneys. I have seen Sonia Terkel Delauneys first work in Paris in the late seventies.

Congratulations on the exhibition! Both Sonia and Robert spent some time in Vila do Conde, a (then) small fishing village close to Porto, Portugal, during WWI. They worked with Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso and Eduardo Vianna, both Portuguese modernist painters, whose works also feature the circles/ discs that Sonia and Robert so effusively use. It is also during this period that Sonia and Robert work closely with the American painter Samuel Halpert, who would later become their agent in the USA. I am certain this is going to be a very successful exhibition!
