Explore Paul Cézanne's deep connection to nature through his masterpiece "The Neighborhood of Jas de Bouffan". This painting reflects his forty-year exploration of his family's estate near Aix-en-Provence, showcasing the serene beauty of chestnut tree alleys and views of Mont Sainte-Victoire. 🌳🏡 The artwork, painted in the 1880s, blends vibrant greens with warm yellows, ochers, and cool blues, capturing the tranquil yet dynamic essence of the Provençal landscape under light. ✨ ___ 🎨: Paul Cézanne, "The Neighborhood of Jas de Bouffan," 1885–87. #PaulCézanne

Fun fact I learned from an old Time-Life Cezanne biography: he almost always created depth/perspective by placing warm earth tones in the foreground and cool blues and greens in the background. Once you see it, you see it all the time
