This week's class features Dr. Hanan Hameen, Ed.D. founder and executive director of Artsucation™ Academy Network. Dr. Hameen is an international arts, education, and curriculum expert with over forty years of dance experience.
In collaboration with the Official Juneteenth Coalition of Greater New Haven, the Caribbean Heritage Festival, and Yale Schwarzman Center, come explore traditional celebratory Afrodiasporic dances from the Caribbean and West Africa to live drumming with a Dunham Barre warm-up, across the floor movement, and a Bantaba (dancing circle).
