The Tale of the Eternal Guardian
In the beautiful Kingdom of Veridia, King Alaric ruled with wisdom and kindness, fostering prosperity and democracy. However, the evil noble Mordred, using deceit and corruption, sought to take the throne. He manipulated the Supreme Court judges to grant absolute immunity to the reigning monarch, intending to shield himself from his crimes once in power.
As the election neared, King Alaric faced a dilemma: should he use the decree to stay in power and protect Veridia from Mordred, or step down as democracy dictated? One night, the Oracle of Veridia guided him to choose selfless guardianship. Alaric invoked the decree, appointed fair judges, and fortified democratic institutions.
Under his extended rule, Veridia thrived and corruption was rooted out. When the time was right, Alaric called for new elections. Veridia, stable and free, chose a new leader. Alaric gracefully stepped down, remembered as the eternal guardian who sacrificed his ambitions for his people's future. The kingdom continued to prosper, inspired by the benevolent king's legacy.
