FOREST OF TEMPERAMENT
The works are an ode to the ability and power of reconstruction. Here, dichotomy and resilience serve as the essence of transformation, forming a visual metamorphosis through the synthesis of traditional and new techniques.
Each individual work is based on a selected pair of images from Frank‘s image archive, which serves as a co-operative formal element. The image transfer of the colourless photographs onto a layer of wax on cotton fabric is achieved through the processual use of heat as a transfer tool.
