@johnshopkinsu Important comment from NYT article. Tintin Midwest May 23 It's worth noting how ineffective and useless the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health has been regarding this public health crisis in its own neighborhood. I attended the School of Public Health at Hopkins and found the entire university there, including its medical school, a toxic environment in which students, faculty, and administrators were obsessed with selfish advancement and competition, not public good. While institutions like this might get big grants to match their lofty rhetoric around public health and clinical problems, in fact it is the grant, not the problem, they are most interested in. The failure of Hopkins in Baltimore is a very helpful example of how elitist institutions do very little for the public good. While I found myself loving the people of the City of Baltimore, the working people in my neighborhood, Hopkins was a pathological mess of arrogant anger, stress, anxiety, and competitive jealousies. It will take healthy institutions and organizations to address very painful and difficult problems like those faced by the good people of Baltimore. Let's build those health institutions and organizations, and deliver resources and strong people into the existing settings, like schools, to reach a struggling public. Let's treat places like Hopkins as part of the problem, which is what it is, and instead promote healthy institutions desperately needed by real people, facing dire problems, with much more than their egos to be concerned about. Do better JHU!!

What a shame. Such a prestigious school at one time now. Still believing in the covid-19 lies regarding the infamous shot. Shame on you
