New at Achterhaus: a very warm welcome to artist in residence L. Camus-Govoroff!
Engaged in a questioning of the individual and collective body, L. Camus-Govoroff is interested in different systems of domination and power dynamics including biopolitics. Their researches take roots in eco-trans-feminism, queer anthropology and pop culture. L. observes the physical and social limits we face as individuals, to imagine possible transgressions and other emancipatory scenarios. The notion of community has an important place in the fictions of their work. In their creative process, collective work also occupies a primordial space.
The practice of L. Camus-Govoroff is plural, combining sculptures, installations, performances, videos and texts, they create fantasy worlds, chimeras, poems and reveal their most intimate secrets through their work.
