Had the opportunity to write for the Brooklyn Rail’s ArTonic section, a unique, long-form section that takes a deep dive (very deep, 4,000 words) into the history of arts nonprofits. I was tasked with writing about the storied International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP), the Brooklyn-based residency that has supported over 2,000 artists and curators since its founding 30 years ago. The more I learned about ISCP, the more I saw the name everywhere. They’ve been quietly uplifting artists and curators, giving them the space and resources to grow. ISCP alums have been involved with countless exhibitions and projects—at least 12 are in the current Venice Biennale and 4 are in the Whitney Biennial. Read more over in the Rail.
