Tonight we are trying something that has never been done before.
We are proud to announce that we have been working closely behind the scenes with @meyersoundlabs on bringing the first ever attempted large scale immersive sound setup to @roskildefestival exclusively for Heilung.
What is immersive sound? Imagine the big sound systems you are used to on the big stages of festivals around the world. Now scale this up all around and above the audience, allowing the sound not only to be emitted from the stage, but from anywhere in the venue at the same time, resulting in a sound bubble around you, unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before, and all live.
This is not like your average home surround system, and it’s safe to say when we enter the Arena Stage tonight, this historical stage has never seen a bigger sound system to this date.
We would never have been able to build this special version of our ritual without the help from the many bright minds that have been working with and supporting us during the last year of preparations. A special thanks to Meyer Sound, @midasconsoles and @tcelectronic for lending us your fancy equipment for us to play around with for a very long time. Thank you to @starsdk in Vordingborg for lending us your beautiful and cozy venue for preparations. Also a big thanks to @sonic_college , @vegacph and our peer group of colleagues, musicians and crew for sharing your expertise within this new field and of course thank you Roskilde Festival for trusting and supporting us in building this crazy thing for the very first time.

@glastofest , you were perfect. As the last notes were sung and the sounds faded, the sun disappeared into the horizon and the ritual came to a beautiful close. Thank you all so much for coming out.
@bbc livestreamed our whole set and this is still available to watch on @bbciplayer - this will only be available in the UK for a limited period of time.
@guardian wrote an entertaining review where they perfectly proved how we reached an audience that is less acquainted to antlers, skulls and masks. Thank you!

Savage Lands.
Savage Lands, a musician-run non-profit project, has protected 60,000 square feet of Costa Rican rainforest using royalties from their music. Maria and Kai both contributed to the project with their voices. The song “No Remedy”, features Maria, “Black Rock Heart” features Kai. In addition, Heilung has partnered with the project and donated 1$ for every ticket sold on their 2024 US tours to support their reforestation efforts.
Maria explains: “In addition to buying and by doing so, protecting the lands fragile ecosystems and work on reforestation, SavageLand’s Sylvain is doing all he can to educate the people already living in the area on how to sustain the biodiversity on their properties, to help our fellow threatened species survive humanities destruction. We believe in the efforts of this project and are happy to team up.”
Kai adds “Everyone I met while working with the Savage Lands project is highly skilled and they all contribute freely with an open heart. It is an absolute honour to be featured alongside these amazing musicians,video creators, producers, festival organizers, project managers and other professions that fuse their minds and workpower to preserve the green heart of our planet.”
Just listening to “No Remedy” and “Black Rock Heart” helps support Savage Lands. 100% of the song’s royalties fund the preservation efforts in Costa Rica. Find a link to the songs and an additional donation links in bio.
We are very excited to announce our very first performance in Greece ever! This will be at the Lycabettus Theatre in the mountains surrounding the historical city of Athens.

Heilung in summer colors
We have now transitioned through the longest day of the year, midsummer! Right now, we are in the midst of our Summer tour with a selection of exciting performances ahead of us. In addition to the already announced rituals, we would like to use this solstice to disclose additional dates to our 2025 “Albion, Eiru ok Erop Ferdhast” tour. We are excited to add Zurich, Esch-sur-Alzette, Lille, Lyon and Milan to our journey, and more beautiful cities are soon to follow!

Albion ok Eiru færdhask
We are currently in Great Britain in between the two rituals of Download and Glastonbury Festival. Download was epic and we were blessed with clear skies in the midst of heavy rains. It felt wonderful to connect with so many new, engaged spirits <3
With this momentum, we are happy to announce that we will return to the UK and Ireland in the beginning of 2025. This journey will bring us to London, Dublin, Edinburgh and Manchester.
