‼️Life update on this total eclipse day‼️ If you know me, you know I ❤️ NYC. And one of the biggest reasons is because I can get around by walking (even if my foot sabotages me), taking public transportation, or biking (when forced to by friends)! With that in mind, I'm happy to share that I am now the Director of the NYC Department of Transportation (DOT) Art program, aka NYC DOT Art.
I'm excited to dive into the public sector to help bring more art to New Yorkers along with a stellar team. Public art initiatives like this allow us to make art more accessible, be more responsive, connect with millions of people making their way around the 5 boroughs, and of course, collaborate with local communities and many talented artists. Our program aims to make NYC a more vibrant and safer space for pedestrians through temporary art interventions.
I will share more on our different program tracks soon! In the meantime ❤️please follow
@nyc_dotart ❤️ to stay up to date on any opportunities, installations, events, and other news. There's a lot already happening and coming down the pipeline!
See you all around the city! (PS. If it wasn't clear...I live here, indefinitely), xx
