Flying out to Dallas 5 weeks today and currently 6 weeks away from starting my first full pro season ❤️
Here are 6 things I’ve learned on my competing journey of almost 10 years to mark the occasion!
1. Bodybuilding is an endeavour… but, it’s also how you actually live your entire life every single day. Years can (and will) pass you by getting caught up in it. So, don’t forget about the other facets of your life that are happening alongside it
2. Learn to control your mind when things don’t go the way you planned, perspective really is your most powerful tool
3. Every little decision and action you take eventually adds up to what will be your competitive journey. Consider if those actions yield a positive gain or net loss.
4. Our time doing this is finite, our time on this planet is also finite. Be present in the now but aware of those two facts!
5. Each show is a stepping stone in the story you are writing, you are the one who holds that pen
6. Fixate less on big future outcomes, and more on winning each task right infront of you to build your confidence and sense of accomplishment - only you truly know what you did day in, day out…
