Airports and businesses have shut down and residents across the Caribbean have been urged to seek shelter as the potentially deadly Hurricane Beryl moves towards them. The hurricane, which formed Friday night from a tropical storm, is predicted to have winds of up to 155mph (250km/h) and to drop up to six inches (15cm) of rain. Forecasters have said the hurricane is "extremely dangerous" and anticipate it will hit the islands of Barbados, Dominica, Grenada and Martinique, among others. People across the region have prepared for Beryl by boarding up their homes queueing for fuel at filling stations and stockpiling supplies.
