This year in place of swimwear and embedding myself in the middle of south beach swim week, I paired up with @theglobalbillionaire@kimera_exosomes and @seaspicemia to present my couture capsule collection “Sirens of the Sea”
It started with a handful of sand that I collected from the beach one morning while soaking in the immense energy that our Ocean exudes. I quickly sank into the question of how I could turn the sand and sea into a dress that would transform a woman into a beautiful siren. With only two weeks of preparation, and an inner glow of inspiration for this collection, I created 12 beautiful pieces that came from my heart first, then to my minds eyes, and lastly from my two skilled hands.
So many thanks to give for the continued support I have received from so many! I have the most gratitude to my grandmother Sandra Youngs who patiently taught me how to use a sewing machine at the age of 14. I will be 40 in this year and it seems like yesterday I was asking her for the hundredth time to help me re-thread the machine.
