Police in Colorado helped free a dog that was locked in a hot trailer.
Temperatures inside of the vehicle, which had been parked in the neighborhood for three days, according to a tip received by the police, were between 88-98°F — and it was unclear whether the dog had access to water.

Authorities say 35-year-old Willio Petioma has been arrested days after he allegedly stole a woman’s car with her 3-year-old daughter in backseat.

16-year-old Quincy Wilson is headed to the Paris Olympics, becoming the youngest American male to ever be part of the U.S. Olympic track team. Wilson, who will be part of the 4x400 relay pool, posted on his social media about the selection, with the caption: "WE GOING TO THE OLYMPICS."
He made it all the way to the final of the 400-meter final at the U.S. Olympic trials in Eugene, Oregon, on June 24, and he finished sixth in the race, which kept his Olympics hopes alive until he got the call Sunday night that he was going to Paris.

Hurricane Beryl made landfall Monday as a powerful Category 4 storm on the Caribbean island of Carriacou in Grenada, as forecasters warned that the first major hurricane of the Atlantic season would bring “extremely dangerous” conditions. In its latest update, the National Hurricane Center said that “catastrophic winds and life-threatening storm surge” will continue in the southern windward islands and that “residents should not leave their shelter” until conditions subside.
