Anna May Wong, considered to be the first Chinese American film star in Hollywood, is set to become the first Asian American featured on U.S. currency. Wong will appear on a new quarter as part of the U.S. Mint's American Women Quarters Program, which features women who have made contributions in a variety of fields including suffrage, civil rights and the arts. In what coach Steve Kerr called a "mutual decision," the star forward will step away from the defending championship team after violently punching teammate Jordan Poole in the face on Wednesday.

A suspect has been taken into custody after two people were killed and six others were injured in a stabbing attack along the Las Vegas Strip. The victims appeared to be a combination of locals and tourists. Three of the attacked were in critical condition, while the others "appeared to be stable," police said in a press conference this afternoon.

During Labor Day remarks in Wisconsin, Pres. Biden said, "Not every Republican is a MAGA Republican." "But the extreme MAGA Republicans in Congress have chosen to go backwards, full of anger, violence, hate and division. But together, we can and we must choose another path."

"We can't afford to leave anyone on the sidelines. We need everyone to do their part," said President Biden tonight. "So speak up, speak out, get engaged, vote, vote, vote."

"Equality and Democracy are under assault. We do ourselves no favor to pretend otherwise," says President Biden, at the beginning of his remarks tonight. "Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our Republic."

The Jan. 6 committee has asked fmr. Speaker Newt Gingrich to sit for an interview with the panel in September. CBS News' Robert Costa spoke with Gingrich, who said he wasn't aware of the request. When asked if he will comply, Gingrich said he will follow the advice of his counsel.
