Join us for a groundbreaking Town Hall Meeting on Interrupting Violence with special guest Ricardo “Cobe” Williams, an award-winning peacekeeper and community activist. Cobe has trained over 1,000 violence interrupters in mediation and conflict resolution across 52 sites in 23 U.S. cities and internationally.
He pioneered the peace tournament model with NBA players in major cities to reduce violence. Cobe's work with CeaseFire Illinois in Englewood, Chicago, was featured in the award-winning film “The Interrupters.” This event will also mark the debut of Cobe’s book, "INTERRUPTING VIOLENCE," in collaboration with the Circle of Brotherhood.
The evening will include special guests Joakim Noah, former NBA star with the Chicago Bulls, and Tony Allen, former NBA player with the Boston Celtics hosted at the Circle of Brotherhood Headquarters in Miami.

Dr. Williams is the Executive Director of Cure Violence Global, leading the organization through significant growth and international expansion. Previously, Dr. Williams was the Director of the Louisville Mayor’s Office for Safe & Healthy Neighborhoods, where she oversaw the development and execution of the city’s strategic plan for reducing violence, including its implementation of the Cure Violence approach. She has also led the University of Louisville’s National Center of Excellence in Youth Violence Prevention, one of five centers designated by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to advance the science and practice of youth violence prevention. #violenceintervention#violenceinterupters#StopTheViolence#CureViolence#CVI#COB
