"As my time at Cornell has come to an end, I have been reflecting on my journey thus far. I’d be lying to you if I said it was easy because the journey has been full of the highest highs and the lowest lows of my life. And even though it was hard to get up during the lowest points, I truly believe that God only gives you what He believes you can handle, and that all is temporary ——the good and the bad. I also believe that certain things happen for a reason, to trust in God’s timing. I have learned to appreciate the journey learning and solidifying who I am as a person while I work towards being a better version of who I want to be in this world: as a daughter, sister, student, friend, professional, Latina, and someday a mom.⁠ ⁠ I also believe that people’s paths cross at certain time for a reason as I have been blessed with having met incredible people during my time here. One of my closest friends told me once, “People can only understand you at depths in which they have met themselves.” This is true as I believe this is why I have befriended incredible people during my time at Cornell, and will always hold close to my heart.
