Cellist Coleman Itzkoff is a dynamic performer who stands at the intersection of Baroque, classical, new music, contemporary dance, and experimental theater. He even had the chance to use his skateboard skills in Carolyn Chen (@walkmango )’s piece How to Fall Apart with @runningamoc , of which he is also a founding member. 🛹🎵
You can hear more from Coleman and pianist Mika Sasaki (@mikcat_piano ) on our program Young Artist’s Showcase, where they joined host @emiferguson in the studio to perform a program of Bach, Esmail, Vasks, Clara Schumann and more.

We're calling it "Music Box" and it's the first in a series of Found Object Philharmonic concerts we're organizing to make some noise with found objects.
“Music Box” takes material from the subject of the 2024 Found Object Show book — “BOX: An Exhibition” — as musical inspiration for an evening of found object encounters, contemporary and classical music, and dinner and drinks by The Izakaya NYC.
On view the following weekend as part of the larger Found Object Show in Chelsea, “BOX: An Exhibition” will take place on 4/5-4/7. Music Box concert tickets and donations help contribute to the production and printing costs of our annual exhibition book, which is available now for preorder at artwithoutintent.com/bookstore (link in bio)

Last week I returned to @ljmusicsociety Summerfest after being a fellow there 9 years ago. Magic ensued.
Pictured are scenes from performances of Golijov’s ‘Dreams and Prayers of Isaac The Blind’, a renaissance set of Dowland, Byrd, Gibbons, and Purcell, and the U.S. premiere of Thomas Adés’ ‘Alchymia’ for string quartet and Clarinet.
Thank you to @inonbarnatan and @leezers1127 and LJMS for inviting me out to spend the week with such insanely talented and generous musicians.
