Meet the California wildrose! This pretty flower is native to chaparral and woodland plant communities, with fragrant flowers that usually bloom in the spring and summer.
The California wildrose is found throughout California, Oregon and Baja California. It's widespread petals can range from shades of white to pink and is enjoyed by pollinators from bees to butterflies and birds.

Our Natural Resource Interns are diving right in! The interns recently met with California State Parks staff at Crystal Cove to learn the ins and outs of careers with the California State Park system.
Guest speakers, Lana and Riley, shared their personal journeys and advice on how the interns can pursue a career in the natural resources field.

The summer season is quickly approaching, which means it's time to welcome the 2024 Natural Resource Summer Interns to Crystal Cove!
This week, The Conservancy held an orientation for this year's undergraduate and graduate interns, along with some new part time education and programs staff. The group spent the day touring Crystal Cove, getting to know one another and learning about projects they will be conducting at the park.
We're so excited to have them join the team!
