Design Academy Eindhoven proudly presents the Graduation Show 2022. Taking place for the first time in the Microtuin building, 22-30 October during Dutch Design Week, this year features over 200 diverse Bachelor and Masters projects, and an engaging live performance programme. Our graduates respond to a world that’s threatened by environmental crises, accelerated by digitisation, and rewritten through new understandings of history. Together, the Graduation Show 2022 forms an imprint of the shared concerns they have about the world they practice in, while it also shows what’s possible through critical, caring, and fantastical acts of design. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Graphic project by Timon van der Hijden @timonvanderhijden ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #DDW22 #GS22 #DAEGradShow #DAE #designacademyeindhoven

MA student @doideluise presented Mare Incognitum as his graduation project, highlighting the Meditterenian Sea as a highly geopolitical object, polluted with narratives and arbitrary representations that frame and limit freedom and rights. Curious about our other master students and their final projects? The DAE Master departments host special tours for prospective students throughout the academic year, which allows them to explore our MA courses and also includes opportunities to meet current students. The tours will take place on the following dates: → 28 January 2022 → 25 February 2022 → 8 April 2022 → 20 May 2022 To sign up, check out the link in bio. Please note: registration is possible until 12h00 CET the day prior to the event.

By using creativity to upcycle and give new life to leftover materials and installations, students from both Design Academy and the Royal Academy of Art collaborated with the #PradaGroup to promote circular thinking. Watch how they re-used materials from the #PradaFW21 show and gave them a second life. Learn more via the link in bio 📲

With beauty standards consistently leaning towards Western ideals, Yinka Buutfeld created multiple awareness pieces that questioned the wish for fairer skin. By using natural fibres and showing the harsh bleaching chemicals’ effect on them, she wished to evoke a conversation on identity. @yb.buutfeld Curious to delve deeper into the use of design to tackle sociological issues? Join us at our BA Open Day on 19 January 2022. Register via the link in our bio 👆

To revive the fragility of nature and craft in the digital age. Using a new printing material, she developed a way to mimic the art of lacemaking with a 3D printer. ‘Either Flowers will Remain’ is a series of floral portraits depicting endangered European plants crafted as computer textiles. @demc__
