فهاد الحلقة الجديدة من بودكاست قصص، ضياء بورحيم كتحدت على مشوارها الفني، و على مجموعة محاولات و ورشة إبتكار المجلات المستقلة مع مشاركين مجموعة قصص.
ضياء كتحاول شرح كيفاش إنشاء طرق جديدة للإبداع و التعليم الفني عبر التجارب كيحول تدريجياً هوية مجموعة محاولات.

Im very happy to share with you « Les Attentes », the first volume of a photozine series. A project that I’ve been working on since july 2021. The series have been shot on expired 35mm film in different cities in Morocco.
Since my graduation, this idea of « waiting », started to take shape and get bigger through the years and the events. It got triggered especially by a series of emotional ascensions, when taking part on the DAAD exchange program between Berlin and Marrakech. This program got through a year of doubt, uncertainty, excitement, promises, and « waitings ».
To imagine the waiting as a gap/interval creating the visual passage from the desire to the awaited, and eventually produce images of this heavy state of mind.
Attente : nom féminin (latin *attendita, de attendere, attendre) 1. Action d'attendre quelqu'un, quelque chose, de compter sur quelqu'un, sur quelque chose ; temps pendant lequel on attend.

I am so thrilled to share with you « I Belong [Here] », a photographic installation I made in the framework of « Al Mahal », a project curated by the amazing @lorenelhili .
The work is currently showing at Maison Souss at Shepreds Bush Station, London.

« (…) I Belong [Here] is a series consisting of 11 takeaway artworks and 6 photographs that are reworked on the wall mirrors of Maison Souss. The complete series plays and disrupts with the postcard image particularly in relation to Morocco as it produced elsewhere - L’brra (on the outside). In actively disrupting the norms of a postcard, the work demystifies the visuality of placemaking. In embracing the imperfect and the all too familiar, the works embody the strangeness and dislocation potent in diasporic spaces. This familiarity when observed or studied to intensely takes on an absurdness, much like a regular word that begins to sound foreign when we repeat it too many times. In focusing on the everyday of Maison Souss the real makers of its space, also emerges with a homage to its team who keep the space moving and recognisable. ». A text by @lorenelhili
