Took a nice long bike ride to Fonteney le Comte yesterday, a small town where Napoleon once angrily smashed a vase. The church has a long history, and as it was Sunday I took in mass to practice my French liturgy comprehension!
I'm beyond delighted that our St. Mary's outfit THEOTOKOS has been invited to give a concert on the Five Boroughs Music Festival, this Thursday, December 7th, on our own home turf, St. Mary's on Grand St. The program will comprise Advent cantatas by G.P. Telemann and D.A.A. Balliett. Tickets are pay-as-you-wish; more info and link here: /events/theotokos/
We had an incredible rehearsal with William Christie and Theotokos at St Mary’s this morning. It’s so amazing to have him in this building and his skills on the harpsichord. Everyone sounds great and you’re all warmly invited to mass at 12 tomorrow: 440 Grand St, NY NY 10002
We have had some amazing guests in my years composing weekly music for St Mary’s, but perhaps none quite so impressive as William Christie, director of Les Arts Florissants, who is joining us this coming Sunday, November 12, for our 12 pm Mass. If you’d like to experience music at St Mary’s, it’s a great week to join us :)
Live from the Berlin opera house, Continuo Cam is in effect. This is a song I wrote w my brother Thomas Dunford, that we include in our concerts as an encore. What a pleasure to play it with Jupiter Ensemble.

It’s that time of year again…time for Gawain to have his head chopped off!
Celebrate New Year’s Eve with us at St Mary’s and a full performance of Gawain and the Green Knight. Some amazing singers and players will there. We want to fill Camelot with good cheer, so tickets are pay-what-you-like!
