A few memories from an incredibly fun and inspiring week at @willem_twee_studios in Den Bosch. It was mind blowing to work with super rare analogue synths [like the ARP 2500 & 2600 🤓🤩] and with 1950s/60s test and measurement equipment ~ making music with unconventional objects/instruments is a big part of my practice, so getting to make music with these pioneering machines that weren’t even created for music-making felt super special. Very grateful for the knowledge and overall wholesome experience, big love to Rikkert, Tim, Armeno and to the @rooibosch collective for making this residency happen 🤍✨ Back in Den Bosch tomorrow for @rooibosch club night w/ @upsammy @rosabosaa @_annebel___ @elkewolfs & Timbe ~ see ya in the dance! ✌🏽

It’s time to reshare these beautiful shots wearing the Komono x Baloji ‘Tshala’ shades taken by @suleikamueller a few years ago because the Augure/Omen soundtrack albums came out last Friday featuring some of my music! In 2020 Baloji asked me to send him ideas for the soundtrack of his first feature film, and after almost 4 years they’re finally out in a beautifully curated four-parts album inspired by the film, featuring Baloji, the mighty @sampa_the_great (pinch me pls!😭) and the incredible AWORI @aworiii . ‘Augure’/‘Omen’ is a masterpiece that challenges and questions in the most visually striking Baloji-esque way core values for many African communities (but not only). It well deservedly won last year’s Cannes Film Festival’s Un Certain Regard section, as well as countless other awards, and it will be out in the UK on April 26th - IT’S A MUST WATCH, GO SEE IT (screenings info @weareyafilms ) 🙏🏽🤍 @baloji

Following cracking releases on @nervous_horizon and @_3024_music_ , @ehuamusic draws for the drums on her GuduMix 🍊 In Ehua’s words: “My contribution to the Gudu Mix Series is a ‘percs and breaks’ inspired mix. I wanted to create an organic progression from percussive techno to more deconstructed rhythms by blending club textures with a raw - almost orchestral - feel, where the first and last track share a similar vibe but sit at opposite ends of the sonic spectrum.”
