Dear Executive Board of Design Academy Eindhoven,
We hope this open letter finds you well.
“Design as a global phenomenon with an increasing urgency to reform social structures and systems,” as discussed on the school’s website, is inseparable from the ongoing apartheid and genocide in Palestine, supported by designed infrastructures of oppression, segregation, and violence. We critically question the role of “one of the world’s leading design schools,” especially at this crucial moment when movements for Palestine are being organized in various educational institutions globally.

Taking a moment to celebrate the invisible work behind Design Week. The curators, marketing coordinators, social media managers, exhibition builders, hospitality workers, student workers, interns. Renewable design means renewable labour! Overuse, pollution, and exploitation leaves little for future generations. This ecosystem is fragile, take care of your workforce!

Designers, Innovators on all areas - Fashion - Interior, Food, Space Farming on so many locations. You need a week to visit everything. Come to visit the DDW you will love it!
