A little Sunday morning Bach - The sublime Andante from J.S. Bach’s Sonata for flute and continuo in E minor, BWV 1034. Performed live on period instruments.

Liza Lim - Bioluminescence, for solo flute [2019] 🐠🦑🐡🐙🐟 I’m not sure I will ever know what it feels like to have a bioluminescent deep-ocean creature oscillate on my hand, but this piece might be as close as I get! Liza Lim calls for a variety of extended #flute techniques that plunge you into the depth of the ocean and conjure up those mysterious creatures that reign in the darkness. 🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟 🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠 If you don’t know @lizalimcomposer ‘s work check it out - especially the incredible works she has written for rockstar @clairechaseflute (we are not worthy!!!) What a pleasure to be part of this incredible collaborative production spearheaded by @yuvalsharon_la_detroit and @arcostanzo bringing together @industryopera @runningamoc @moca @curtisinstitute @yale_schwarzman and more! So fun to get to play 11 shows with my AMOC fam @arcostanzo @alsoanoperasinger @dougballiett @mirandacmusic @keir_gogwilt @colemanplayscello with @pianotutto and @mrmhcook led by the wonderful Marc Lowenstein. this show was sheer beauty with stunning performances every night from the incredible cast.
