"A nice surprise just around the corner! As an architecture student at the University of Puerto Rico I heard a lot about Frank Lloyd Wright's Guggenheim Museum. Its circulation, spiral form and sloped ramps makes it a unique concrete structure, especially when surrounded by the high-rise buildings of Manhattan." —Melissa Ramos López (@flyingroad ) #FrankLloydWrightFridays

Explore Paul Cézanne's deep connection to nature through his masterpiece "The Neighborhood of Jas de Bouffan". This painting reflects his forty-year exploration of his family's estate near Aix-en-Provence, showcasing the serene beauty of chestnut tree alleys and views of Mont Sainte-Victoire. 🌳🏡 The artwork, painted in the 1880s, blends vibrant greens with warm yellows, ochers, and cool blues, capturing the tranquil yet dynamic essence of the Provençal landscape under light. ✨ ___ 🎨: Paul Cézanne, "The Neighborhood of Jas de Bouffan," 1885–87. #PaulCézanne

Round and round we go. 🌀 Jenny Holzer's 2024 reimagining of the original 1989 LED sign fills our entire rotunda with writing from her 1977-79 "Truisms" series to later texts on the implications of violence and living with loss, with AI-generated visual effects appearing at intervals behind the words. Zanele Muholi appears as a divine figure, part avian and part human. This photograph is part of the series "Somnyama Ngonyama (Hail the Dark Lioness)," taken in Europe, Asia, North America, and Africa between 2014 and 2017. Each portrait in the series poses critical questions about social injustice, human rights, and contested representations of the Black body. The photograph serves as a visual assertion of existence and dignity within a context that often marginalizes or erases such identities. ___ 📷: Zanele Muholi (@muholizanele ), "Ngwane I, Oslo," 2018. © Zanele Muholi, courtesy Stevenson, Cape Town/Johannesburg, and Yancey Richardson, New York. #ZaneleMuholi #PrideMonth

"Oh, this is a happy day; this will have been another happy day!" —Winnie, "Happy Days" by Samuel Beckett Winnie, the central character in Beckett's 1961 play "Happy Days," is trapped up to her waist within an earthen mound. She continues to attempt her daily routines, such as brushing her teeth and reviewing the contents of her bag, while speaking with her husband who is nearby. By the second act, she is buried up to her neck within the mound yet continues to repeat, “Oh, this is a happy day.” This sense of entrapment and hope is echoed in Michalakakos' work. Like Beckett’s couple, these two 12-foot mounds of pinkish-purple polyester fiber remain close yet never touch, leaving us with questions about their relationship. This work is on view in #ByWayOfGuggenheim . 📷: @belraymen __ 🗻: Maro Michalakakos, "Oh! Happy Days," 2012. #MaroMichalakakou
