Surreal experience to say the least. From the moment I job-interviewed for @outsidersmusical through its tech, previews, opening, and the outpouring of love the show has gotten- I’m still pinching myself. Had it not happened gradually at a digestible(?) dose, my heart would have exploded into pieces (it’s already pretty damaged, ya know) The world is still f—ed up and it is hard not to get depressed by the headlines, but THANK YOU theater community for this gift and strength to fight back. I’m indefinitely humbled to be in your company and so grateful to call you my friends and colleagues.  Image description; 1. Julia Bullock brings her mixed-media project History’s Persistent Voice this February to the Queen Elizabeth Hall, shining a light on the words, work and experiences of Black American artists. In each city that hosts History’s Persistent Voice, a local composer is commissioned to add their voice to the project. In London, you can join us and hear brand new work by Mercury-nominated saxophonist, bandleader and composer Cassie Kinoshi. The songs are accompanied by video installations designed by visual artist Hana S. Kim, interspersed with readings from Black American writers past and present.
