In her first ever
@wser ,
@carustol embraced the 100-mile challenge as an opportunity to explore her capacity to overcome tough moments. From Olympic Valley to Auburn, California, the immigration lawyer and ultra runner from Colombia endured, running a performance that left her feeling grateful for the test of strength. “These challenges make you feel like you can do anything in the world,” Carolina said.
On Sunday morning, the founder of
@touchinglandorg , a nonprofit that uses experiential arts as a tool for community-building and empowerment for immigrants, finished the historic race in 28:21:06. Beyond the time, Carolina hopes her effort helps raise awareness for the importance of supporting immigrant communities.
“I’m really proud of my crew and my roots but I really dedicate this race to immigrants that don’t choose and have to go through treacherous journeys, and I hope people feel inspired and choose to be gentler and kinder,” Carolina said.
Congratulations on an incredible race, Carolina!
