Let’s just say my first livestream was a wild ride from start to finish. Cameras already freak me out, but a livestream!?!? I was crippled with anxiety, and I recall laying on the floor in a foetal position before leaving home for the show.
My vision for the set was a slow melodic build up cumulating in an acid infused electro trip.

Super excited about getting to play pornceptual … I recall attending my first pornceptual party in Berlin. The whole process of getting to play dress up, feeling sexy and letting loose on the dancefloor is forever etched in my brain :)
Consequently, getting invited to play an ambient set and create the mood for some sexiness and playfulness feels lowkey unreal 🥵 .
Looking forward to playing my take on Ambience “tomatobient”… it’s been fun prepping for this set 🥹… l recall getting goosebumps while listening to some tracks prepped for Saturday…. Excited! Catch me in the chillout/sexiness zone 🥳

Playing at @de_balie for the @maxivive fashion show was a vibe. And low-key perhaps a personal highlight.
The theme of the fashion show was “Okrika”, this is a term somewhat rooted in southern-Nigerian culture and commerce to represent second-hand clothing. And in the context of the fashion show, it highlighted the complexities between the global north and south, tying together waste and sustainability in the fashion industry, with a queer twist.
Anyway, I was informed of the theme months in advance, and it was super fun doing some research to find songs that I felt matched the energy and vibe, while still staying true to babytomato. Prepping for the show was cathartic, I just got back from an extended stay in Lagos a day before I was to play this show right in the centre of Amsterdam. It felt like a musical marriage of my Yoruba’ness + Queer’ness. I had a blast, and I was dressed up head to toe in full Maxivive… and that was CUTE.
Oh yea, I was particularly excited to play this track by Kvng Vinci – Bobo No Go Die; It is a remix of a super popular fuji track by King Wasiu Ayinde. I recall the original track being a Yoruba smash hit growing up.
Getting invited to play at @lesbiqueofficial Lesbique was a low-key dream come true for several reasons. Lol, I’m a huge fan of the venue, @clubchurch , and I love a good estrogen-fueled party. Plus, I think my sound taps into elements of queer anger (lol... whatever that means!). So, needless to say, I was super excited about this invite.
I remember playing this track “Golpe de Amistad” by Diseno Corbusier. There was this one person on the dance floor who completely embodied all the emotion and intensity of the track. It’s this weird track with a woman just screaming.
Honestly, it’s those simple moments that make it all worthwhile. When I play a track I think is risky, and people just get it... and just lose their shit to it... there’s nothing better. Nothing... not even a prostate orgasm. And lol, I just discovered the music video for that track while making this post, and I low-key think it’s a gem.
Oh yeah! Back to Lesbique... that was fun and exactly what I needed to get myself back on track and take playing music even more seriously. Again, thank you, @lesbiqueofficial , for the energy and vibes!

Captain Shits & Dr. Giggles is a dj duo borne out of friendship with an intense desire to play music we discovered and loved to each other.
We had been playing events for friends for a cute minute… however, here’s the poster for our first club gig (which was coincidentally on my birthday). This had me lowkey shitting my pants, I was nervous as f***, but that’s the beautiful thing of playing as a duo, you get to share the stress and nerves 🥵
It turned out to be super cute, the crowd was super vibey… and if I recall correctly, it was a funky set.
