It’s that time of year already! On Sunday, August 11th, Indianapolis School of Ballet will be holding open auditions for local dancers interested in being a part of Indianapolis Ballet’s annual holiday production, The Nutcracker.

It’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through our Summer Intensive! We had a lovely performance for family and friends yesterday. We’re looking forward to 2 more weeks of Summer Intensive fun with these wonderful dancers!
ENROLL IN CLASSES TODAY // Indianapolis School of Ballet
Whether you are interested in enrolling your young dancer in creative movement classes or you have a dancer ready to take their training to the next level, the Indianapolis School of Ballet has what you are looking for.
Fall class enrollment for the Young Children’s Program (Creative Movement & Pre-Ballet) is OPEN to current and new students. Pre-Professional Program enrollment for new students will begin Monday, July 8.
*To enroll your dancer in ISB’s Young Children’s Program (Creative Movement & Pre-Ballet), please enroll your dancer based on their age as of September 1, 2024.

Leap into summer with Indianapolis School of Ballet’s 6-Week Summer Class Program! These classes are great for those looking to begin or improve upon their dance skills this summer.

✨Sunday Senior Spotlight
Rebecka Rundkvist started dancing at the age of five in Houston, Texas. She joined ISB in 2017 when she was eleven years old. For the past two years, Rebecka was a part of our Professional Level Program and loved having the opportunity to perform in numerous productions with Indianapolis Ballet such as Coppélia, The Nutcracker, Paquita, The Firebird, Swan Lake, and The Sleeping Beauty. She graduated from Indiana Connections Academy in December of 2023. Rebecka has enjoyed her time at ISB and will continue to pursue her ballet career next year season. We will miss her so much and wish her all the best in her next chapter!

DEADLINE FRIDAY // IB Summer Company Experience
Indianapolis Ballet’s Summer Company Experience, June 24 - July 13, is made for dancers who are preparing to enter a college dance program, training program, or apprenticeship position.
Dancers will be preparing for their future with intense training by guest artists and Indianapolis Ballet faculty, learning choreography, and being involved in helpful seminars that will assist in guiding them through establishing themselves in a professional dance setting.
Open to ages 17-22 years, auditions are by video submission ONLY, with a deadline of FRIDAY, May 31. For more information on the Summer Company Experience and video auditions, visit the link in bio or indyballet.org/summer and click on “Summer Company Experience.”

✨Sunday Senior Spotlight
Samantha McCabe has been dancing at ISB since she was ten years old and has trained with us for the past eight years. She studied ballet, tap, and jazz in level 6, and graduated from Brebeuf Jesuit last weekend. In addition to dance, Samantha participates in choir, musicals, winterguard, and ultimate frisbee. She loves reading, singing, and spending time with her family. Samantha will be majoring in Chemical Engineering at Purdue University this fall. She is eternally grateful for the friends and teachers at ISB who have changed her life for the better. We have loved having Samantha as part of our ISB family for the past eight years and wish her all the best in her next adventure!

‼️ Indianapolis School of Ballet’s Summer Intensive video audition deadline is NEXT FRIDAY, May 31, 2024.
If your dancer is searching for a summer program to achieve their next level of artistic excellence, look no further than the flexible ISB Summer Intensive.
The Indianapolis School of Ballet’s Summer Intensive program aims to further dancers’ training and improve essential skills required to advance to their desired level of excellence. Students have the opportunity to work with other talented dancers selected from auditions under the guidance of ISB’s Artistic Staff and other esteemed guest instructors and choreographers.
Admission to the Summer Intensive is by audition only. Recorded auditions must be submitted by May 31, 2024. Video audition details can be found by visiting us at the link in bio or indyballet.org/summer and selecting “Summer Intensive.”
