For #NationalInternDay , we asked some JHU undergrads to share what they’ve been doing at their summer internships and what they’re taking away from them.

Fill in the blank: every JHU student should _____ before they graduate. As we near Commencement for the Class of 2022, seniors Aashna, Sanjana, and Yvette look back on their time at Hopkins and list the things they think should be on your “bucket list” as a student. Bonus: these are all things you can do right here on campus!

This weekend’s special ceremony for the Class of 2020 was something we’ve looked forward to for two years. Thanks to everyone who attended in person and tuned in via livestream. 💙

*TAKEOVER ALERT* In honor of tomorrow’s long-awaited Class of 2020 In-Person Commencement Ceremony, #JHU2020 graduate Polly Berman (@pajberm_ ) is taking over our Instagram! Polly, take it away and introduce yourself! “I graduated (virtually!) in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. While at Hopkins, I was a member of @piphijhu , participated in intramural sports, worked as a Student Event Manager, and was a Host Advisor for admitted students events! Since graduating, I’ve been in New Orleans, Louisiana attending @tulanlawschool , where I’m finishing up my second year. I’m especially interested in federal criminal law and hope to be a federal prosecutor one day. While I love law school (and am SO excited for my future career), nothing compares to my time at Hopkins. Between seeing all of my amazing friends and hearing about all the wonderful things they’ve been doing and just spending time on my favorite campus, this weekend has been exactly what I’ve needed!” Image description: A slideshow displays five photos of Polly over the course over her time at Johns Hopkins: first, in March 2015, as a high school junior. Polly stands in front of the large marble wall etched with the name The Johns Hopkins University. Second, in April 2016 as an accepted student. Polly stands in front of the brick wall next to a marble sign that reads Johns Hopkins University Homewood Campus. Third, in August 2016 as a freshman. Polly sits on her dorm room bed, smiling. Fourth, in May 2020, at home wearing a black cap and gown and posing next to a garland the reads Congratulations Polly. And finally in March 2022, standing in front of the same brick wall and marble sign of the Homewood campus.

🐦Pack the Nest! @jhu_theflock takes us through an awesome, action-packed day of JHU home games. Going to games are an amazing way to enjoy fresh air, reduce stress, meet friends, and build community. Plus, it’s totally free! Watching sports may also improve brain function, according to a study from the University of Chicago — talk about the perfect study break! Follow The Flock for game times, giveaways, and opportunities to let your Blue Jay spirit fly! #GoHop

❄️ A pop-up ice rink is coming to our Homewood campus in early 2022! ❄️ From January 14 through February 27, Hopkins students and employees can enjoy the rink for free (we’ll even provide the rental skates). We also welcome the local Baltimore community to skate with us during special weekend hours. We’ll share more information as we near the ice rink’s opening, so keep an eye on http://jhu.edu/IceRink (and here on our IG, of course) for all the details!

Joining us on Homewood Field for our universitywide ceremony on May 27… this year’s Commencement speaker is entrepreneur, philanthropist, 3-term mayor of NYC, and JHU alum @MikeBloomberg . We can’t wait to celebrate the Class of 2021 in-person and virtually. Less than 2 weeks to go!

A few weeks ago, we asked Hopkins students and alumni to share one piece of advice for our newly admitted students. The number of responses we got were yet another reminder of just how supportive and welcoming our community is. As we head into our final week of spring classes and near the decision deadline for the undergrad class of 2025, here are a few more tips from your fellow Blue Jays on how to find and make the most of your Nest. Be sure to follow @jhuadmissions for an even deeper look into what it’s like to be an undergrad student at Hopkins.

Tag along with first-year students (and roommates) Bahrath and Rohin as they document the process of getting their vaccines at the M&T Bank Stadium mass vaccination site. As of today in Maryland, all individuals age 16+ are eligible to receive a COVID vaccine at any vaccination site. Johns Hopkins students, faculty, and staff can ride the Blue Jay Shuttle to and from appointments at M&T Bank Stadium, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily.
