Long 2023 video because it’s been a long and wild year. Thanks to everyone in my life who makes every day interesting and full of love. 2024 is for more karaoke, miles, wine, food, and shenanigans all around. Happy New Year 😘
“Sometimes Running Nowhere Leads to Somewhere” a performance piece in with @thelooprunning & @nike 🧊
Inspired by the 1997 performance art piece Paradox of Praxis I: “Sometimes Making Something Leads to Nothing” by @francis_alys_official , where Alÿs pushed a block of ice through Mexico City for 9 hours. Hour by hour the ice became easier to move along. Through this absurdity of action, Alÿs was left with nothing but a puddle of water in the street; highlighting the disparity between effort and outcome in Latin American daily life. This piece, like others in the Paradox of Praxis series, wrestles with the theme of transformation. So, with @nikerunning , we did just that through a running lens. In running, it’s what happens during the spaces in between races that transform the reality of a runner. The more we run, the more freely our bodies move through the motions. The absurdity of pushing a block of ice through the streets of Austin with no end goal taught us: Sometimes Running Nowhere Leads to Somewhere.

#running
It’s global running day so here’s a fraction of the insane running from the past month. Love this sport and I’m grateful for every single mile I’ve ever run and all the people I get to run with along the way 🥹
Behind the scenes of what very well could be a movie. I’ll post some pretty photos later but first you have to know that a whole lotta pickle juice, and sweat, and downright dirty dawg activity went into winning @southbound400 . More later, for now, thanks to all my dawgs. Rio, Eva, Brian, Michael, Lucy, Cromie, Adrian, Daniel, and Pham, thanks you for making the weekend special 🫰✨
