This is by far the best gift I have ever received. It is so much more than just an “old truck”. This is the part of the dream that God placed on my heart a few years ago that I just haven’t been able to shake. I am so thankful for my love, @snorat74 for going above and beyond and blessing me with this gift. I love gathering people, I love sharing my passions with people, I love growing and creating. I love making people happy, I love gifting, I love all things beauty and vintage. I love this beautiful life that I have been blessed with and I love love love flowers. Combining all of these loves, it was only natural to start my very own Cut Flower Farm! Endless hours of dreaming and planning and seed starting and nurturing and praying for weather and finally in just a short time, Fancy Farmer Flowers will come to life. I can not wait to share this with all of you so stay tuned and watch for the official launch date and more details on this exciting new venture!

I have racked my brain for years to try and understand why we are trained from the time we are little girls to hate our bodies. And I try to understand why we are brainwashed to hate the very thing that gave us life? It seems so illogical, yet statistically, 89% of women in North America are not happy with the way they look. What’s more concerning is when Dove conducted this study, 96% of Girls age 13 to 19 admitted to crash dieting. Over 10,500 women were included in this study and were asked to write down for one day, every time a negative thought about their body came to mind. 97% of women age 10-60 admitted to HATING their body at least one time per day. So how do we change this? What if we: Eat like we love ourselves. Move like we love ourselves. Talk like we love ourselves. Act like we love ourselves. I wonder how we would view our bodies if we all followed this lead, instead of following the lead of the media? Do yourself a favor, let it go. The memories of what your body “used” to look like, or “could” look like and embrace your body as it is today. When we hate something, why would we want to take care of it? When you are in your deepest valleys, look around at who is there beside you. Reflect on who has remembered the hard days that you have tried to forget. Recognize the ones who have stuck beside you through unimaginable loss, devastation and heartbreak. Hold those people close to you and let go of the ones who “just didn’t know what to say”. This will become easier and easier to do when you truly receive the gift of Discernment. Make this a year of authenticity. Travel until you find yourself....and then stay a while. I feel like there are little pieces of my heart scattered around this beautiful world I have been blessed enough to explore. Does that mean that my heart does not feel whole at home? Absolutely not. There is something powerful about a woman with wild hair and a bare face. Remember that woman every so often and let the world see her from time to time. In a world that has taught us to hide and erase our imperfections try to remind yourself of where those “lines” and “sun spots” came from. My lines are a reminder of not only the hard times that I have overcome, but the laughs and the smiles I have had. My dark spots that I am constantly trying to laser off and cover up are also a reminder of all the times I have felt the sun on my face. Sometimes, all it takes is getting back to that place in your life where you once embraced your natural beauty, before the world told you to change to remember the girl you once were.

Counting down the days until I humbly take the stage to perform my original song, Worthy in front of thousands of people. Feelings of excitement, anxiety, fear, doubt, pride….they are all running through my head but the strongest one of all; honor.
