Where do you go from here? In today’s world, you have to be your own best advocate. Or you can do nothing. Mundane rituals are part of the same routine each day. That was how I used to live until I met him. Fear was the thick fog in the forest, creating uncertainty because I did not know what I was doing or where I was going. The path was there; always there. Learning to break down the barriers of despair to strength and want that change. No longer the silent screams in the darkness, feeling lost in the dense forest of impotence. Constantly being met with resistance. Leaving me lost. Hell no… When I learned self-compassion; I learned I was deserving. Forgiving myself for being so hard on me. No more self-blame. Where do I go from here? Only forward.
