As featured in @voguemagazine in a beautiful write up by Grace Edquist: “The first time the artist Eve Biddle exhibited her work alongside her mother’s, she was a bit nervous. It was 2018, 20 years after she lost her mom, Mary Ann Unger, to breast cancer. [...] But Alexandra Schwartz, the curator of that 2018 show, knew it would be a powerful pairing despite the artists’ different styles. “She told me, ‘You can see two voices,’” Biddle recalls. One didn’t drown the other out—they harmonized.” “Since then, sculptural works from Biddle and Unger have continued to appear together in exhibitions, most recently in “Craft Front & Center: Conversation Pieces,” which opened in early June at the Museum of Arts and Design in Manhattan.” Image by Andre Wagner @photodre “Craft Front & Center: Conversation Pieces” June 1, 2024 - April 20, 2025 Museum of Arts and Design Floor 3

Mary Ann Unger’s “Untitled” (pictured) has entered the permanent collection of the Museum of Arts and Design. See Mary Ann’s work on view in “Craft Front & Center: Conversation Pieces” at @madmuseum from June 1, 2024 through April 20, 2025. Curated by @alixschwartz , the 2024 iteration of MAD’s annual permanent collection series “Craft Front & Center”, examines the relationships and influences between artists. More than many art forms, craft is collaborative. Its techniques and traditions are passed from teacher to student and generation to generation, and artists often work together. This exhibition focuses on these connections, highlighting how artists teach, inspire, and collaborate with one another. “Craft Front & Center: Conversation Pieces” June 1, 2024-April 20, 2025 Museum of Arts and Design Floor 3
