ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Tabitha Wa Thuku began her creative practice as a young, self-taught artist and one of the only female artists of her generation. With a career approaching three decades, Wa Thuku has developed a painterly language unencumbered by convention. Her works are distinguished by a brooding palette that ranges from subtle browns to rich reds. Link in bio for the full film. Film by Matteo Lonardi 2nd Camera: Densu Moseti

Northern carmine bee eaters flocking in the hundreds to roost in the mangroves. Bursts of red and green filling the sky at dusk, mesmerising us. Sacred ibis and egrets joining in, all chattering until they eventually roost and it gets quiet. A weekend of wonder and awe : bee eaters, the best bioluminescence in the ocean I’ve ever seen and a wonderful wedding celebrating love 💙 #kenya #lamu #beeeater #naturalphenomenon #wedding #dusk
