Congratulations to Medill alumna @melissabell (MSJ06), who was named the new CEO of Chicago Public Media. Bell, the founder of @voxdotcom , will oversee the @chicagosuntimes and public radio station @wbezchicago starting in September.
Today Medill welcomed Illinois @govpritzker to our downtown Chicago campus for a post-legislative session interview with Capitol News Illinois. Our Master of Science in Journalism students also interviewed Pritzker about the upcoming presidential election.
On the first day of summer, our IMC students and faculty enjoyed ice cream outside the McCormick Foundation Center to kick off Immersion Quarter Leadership Week. IMC students will spend this summer working on consulting projects to help various companies tackle real-world challenges.

Master of Science in Journalism students studying Media Innovation and Content Strategy (MICS) recently took a trip to the Silicon Valley. They visited @jpmorganchase ’s Tech Center and learned how design and digital product innovation plays out in industry contexts. Students met with alumna Cynthia Zhang (MSJ22) where she shared her experiences entering the job market and working as a content designer.

Medill IMC Full-Time students recently participated in the Effie Collegiate Finalist Presentations at @Ally headquarters in Detroit. The competition engages marketing students to research, ideate and develop comprehensive marketing plans to address real world business challenges.
