Finishing up my mural for @_tnd_inc in Revere, MA! I had the lovely chance of having some volunteers and families from the community come help me paint! Being that I grew up in revere, having folks stop their day to thank me for my work is all the affirmation I need to know I’ve come a long way. “We are in this together” a message I left for the folks who continue to put in efforts to honor the history and culture of this area. The community got to pick their favorite design, and it was placed intentionally within the city. And now both, elders who have been in this city for years, and children who’s stories will be informed by their surroundings, will have this piece to comfort them. Public art is a medicinal practice. Sometimes your work is the only voice that thanks some on for taking on the day. More images to come 🪸

I can never resist a rainbow color scheme 🧶 ~ I am eternally grateful to be gracing this earth as a queer person. As our ancestors once did, we get to pave the way for so many others to experience the beauty that authenticity brings! 🌈🙌🏾❤️‍🔥 #crochet

It’s that time of the year where freelancers, very unfortunately, have to start thinking about fall and winter work. I knooooowww summer is just beginning but to do this is to have to be so many steps ahead 😭. I wanted to share some images of my past work in hope that I can pick up new projects for the the rest of the year! The climate of the internet has been really bleak due to the ways our algorithms have shifted and begun suppressing any content regarding fighting for liberation. Being that the entire basis of my work is to connect people with themselves and their communities - Through educating, advocating, and encouraging marginalized people to people to create - I don’t know how long left until I can no longer rely on this platform for my future ❤️‍🩹 This space has meant so much to me and has been vital to my survival, but also has given me the privilege to even consider my wildest dreams. I think many artists right now are caught between fearing they can’t support themselves in the long term, and wanting to use their platform for what is right. So if you’re an organization/platform that aligns with my values as an artist, let’s work together! I’ve grown so much as an artist since I first began, and the momentum I’ve gained is undeniable - but there are still so many things I haven’t been allowed to do because of being seen as “not experienced enough” or my intersecting identities making me less likely to be sought after! If it weren’t for the spaces that have taken a chance on me, I wouldn’t have been able yo show you what I’ve made so far! Things I am deeply proud of. I’m trying to sit down and really hash out what the future of my work will look like in this new age of AI, suppression, and every apocalyptic thing you could imagine. I’ll update soon with alternate ways of keeping up with me and of course you will not stop seeing me! I would love the ability to pour into intentional long term work and to be able to fund/revitalize my business! As well as use my platform and resources to support communities around the world. Book me!!! Check out my materials wish list in my bio! Or donate to my practice directly :) ❤️‍🔥🌈✨

‘We Each Hold The Power of Change” We have to untangle ourselves from these dark forces, and the cycle of exploitation they have bound us to. We have to believe starting over is better than this. We have to face our fear of the unknown and trust that we will teach each other a new way to live. A new way of surviving, that is not codependent on the suffering of others. We have to love ourselves more than our attachments. We have to believe in the change we seek. ❤️‍🔥✊🏾✨
