Happy faces after the premiere of Pnima, by Chaya Czernowin, @staatstheaterdarmstadt To be a part of an opera that deals with Trauma, and which, in this staging, is calling for compassion and reflection for the current conflict in Israel is very meaningful to me. In a conversation I had yesterday after the show, we talked again about the power of art, and how it is not naive, but necessary, to go to the place of experience beyond slogans that art allows. I am so grateful to Karsten Wiegand (second photo), stage director and the Intendant of Staatstheater Darmstadt for taking action pro humanity in such a short notice in these dark times. I'll finish with a quote by Rumi, the great sufi poet: "Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field.
