Honored to have worked with Japanese photographer Akito Tsuda over the past year, to curate the newly opened exhibition of his early 1990’s photos of Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood. • The Chicago Public Library acquired 118 of Akito’s photos to make them accessible to all Chicagoans. • We’re presenting several programs while Akito is in town for the next two weeks, including an opening party this Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 2-4pm in the 9th floor Winter Garden at the Harold Washington Library Center of the Chicago Public Library, 400 S. State St, Chicago. • “Akito Tsuda: Pilsen Days” is on view through December, 2024 in the 9th floor Exhibition Hall. • Please check the link in bio for info on all the upcoming programs with Akito. • Huge thank you to staff members of the
@chicagopubliclibrary including the Special Collections, Exhibits, and Graphic Design depts. for all of their hard work in putting this show together. I also want to thank the
@cplfoundation , the Japan Foundation /
@jf_newyork , and the
