We were proud to represent the communications and PR plan for 106th @lionsclubs (21- 25 June) in Melbourne- an event that brought together over 11,000 Lions and Leos members from every corner of the globe.
Melbourne was energized with dazzling costumes, floats and pulsating music. It was truly an international convention to remember.
This convention helped raised awareness of Lions and the great work they do, the humanitarian work they do, and the projects they do across not only here in Victoria, but across Australia and world-wide.
The convention also served as a catalyst for Lions and Leos to do some good during their time in Melbourne. Volunteers participated in a handful of impactful service projects, including providing nutritious meals to people in need, assembling braille books for blind and visually impaired readers, and cleaning up the scenic Yalukit Willam Nature Reserve. We are proud to say that the convention delivered approximately A$68 million to the local economy.
We were also honoured to announce the introduction of the 2024-2025 Lions Clubs International President, @fabricioliveiraip .

This Indigenous business helps to bring traditional stories to early learning and homes around the country. Each editorial piece served as a talking point to help shine a light on local artisans, stories and culture. 💛
The reason for launch was to create a business having witnessed an under-representation of Indigenous owned business within the Early Education Resources sector, and from a passion to be able to share local Indigenous artists work and incorporate more authentic Indigenous resources into Early Education.

This four-day event brings Lions from around the world to connect, featuring a press conference at the MCEC and the Parade of Nations.
@lionsclubs is the largest membership-based service organisation in the world. Over 49,000 clubs are made up of more than 1.4 million Lions and Leos.
For 75 years, Lions in Australia and Papau New Guniea have managed national projects, completing over 40,000 service projects annually, including 3,000 environmental initiatives.
We are excited to be a part of their 106th Convention.
