Toronto Street Festival Do West Fest ⊹ . ݁˖ . ݁
Do West Fest is an annual street festival in Toronto’s Little Portugal. The community-centered event is a celebration of music, arts, fashion and food. The festival runs along 16 blocks of Dundas Street West, from Ossington to Lansdowne Avenue.
Festival Name Change - Dundas Street was named after an 18th-century politician who significantly delayed Britain’s abolition of slavery. He also aided in the continued subjugation of Indigenous peoples in Canada. In 2021, the Toronto City Council voted in favour of a motion to rename the street, along with subway stations, a library, Yonge-Dundas Square, and several parks. Until the street is officially renamed, the festival will be known as Do West Fest.
