It was a pleasure to have attended the BAPS Mandir charity walk. It was inspiring to see so many people make it for the walk despite the weather not cooperating. I hope to see more initiatives organized by the mandir and look forward to keep participating in them for the years to come.
Fascinating to see different facets of Filipino culture yesterday, from the various outfits and dances to the different regional cuisines, at the Filipino Heritage Month celebration. Many congratulations, National Filipino Heritage Canada! And many thanks to everyone who visited our booth. #FilipinoHeritageMonth
Yesterday I attended the Pinay Tayo Filipino night market with honourable Minister @rechie.valdez and many other friends and colleagues. Enjoyed my time with the filipino community and the food looked amazing and there are definitely a lot of small businesses to check out.

Honored to have been the guest speaker at the “Breaking Barriers in the Skilled Trades Symposium: Advancing Racial Equity,” hosted by @ndctrades at Centennial College Progress Campus this week. It was inspiring to connect with so many talented and driven youths, and to discuss the importance of creating opportunities for underrepresented communities in skilled trades. A special highlight was participating in the drumming workshop, celebrating the vibrant diversity and shared commitment to racial equity in our community. Together, we can break barriers and build a brighter future for all! #BreakingBarriers#RacialEquity#SkilledTrades
Very pleased with the insights that we gathered last night from the community about our new caregiver immigration program. Thank you to all those who came and shared their thoughts and experiences as caregivers, families of care recipients, and support workers for migrants.
While we celebrated some gains from decades of advocacy, we also heard some concerns for potential abuse of caregivers seeking job offers, as well as a resounding clamor for regularisation of out-of-status caregivers already in Canada. We’ve heard you and we will take these back to Ottawa.
