I'm thrilled to announce that I am one of the winners of this year's Swiss Design Awards (@swissdesignawards ) with my project 'Death by GPS'. There are numerous people whom I would like to express my gratitude for their assistance and support throughout the research, production, and development of this work. Over the past year, it has evolved into an engaging, significant, and inspiring collaborative process, aiming to examine automation, labor, exploitation, and potential alternatives through a combination of facts and fiction. I am particularly grateful to all the freelancers who generously shared their lives, aspirations, laughter, and challenges with me. There is still more to come. Thanks to the jury for selecting my work. The opening week of the inaugural edition of EXPOSED @torino.foto.festival was fantastic! Huge thanks to the artists for making this kickoff so successful and incredibly amazing! Gratitude also extends to all the experts and guests who shared their insights and ideas, enriching the discussion on “New Landscapes” in contemporary photography. Special mention to the dedicated staff I’ve had the pleasure and honor to work with over the past year! A big shoutout to my partner in crime, Menno Liauw (@mennoliauw ), whose invaluable knowledge helped shape EXPOSED! Last but not least, kudos to @unstated.co for giving the festival its stunning identity! Turin entered officially the European photographic route! The festival runs until June 2nd, with more events on the horizon. Today marks the opening of the first edition of EXPOSED @torino.foto.festival EXPOSED’s goal is to provoke contemplation regarding the transitional state of photography. Starting from a historical perspective, Exposed seeks to present various approaches, perspectives, narratives, and intersections that showcase the diverse forms the medium takes on. Simultaneously, it aims to inspire, evoke emotions, entertain, and propose new ways of interacting with, interpreting, and appreciating the work of both classic and contemporary artists.
