We’re so happy to announce that @seydisfjordur.community.radio have joined the network this year! A unique platform based within the context of @lungaschool in the east fjord’s of Iceland, we are excited to share that the network will also visit the fjord next year to co-deliver a new radio school!
‘Seydisfjordur Community Radio 107.1 (@seydisfjordur.community.radio ) is a shared digital and analogue broadcasting platform located in the village of Seyðisfjörður on the east-coast of Iceland – hosted, nurtured and initiated by an open-ended international community inhabiting different conditions and positions, often somewhat distributed in various locations on the planetary surface. From these places and timezones we share, we inquire and we keep in touch – over and through radio.
The community of listeners, broadcasters and hiding places morphs changes with time – some could say quite the foggy operation. Please consider this fog an open invitation to get in touch if you are interested in holding the radio in some way, even if just for a short while. We will do our best to include everyone who is interested in contributing and/ or listening in.
In 2025, Seydisfjordur Community Radio 107.1 and the LungA School will start an ongoing experiment around an open arts-program holding and facilitating itself through and via radio-transmission. A school community and work-group geographically dispersed, connected and collaborating within the radio as medium. A chrome ear singing to an open palm.’

The winter/spring Art program just ended and our dear arties tied up their stuffs, cleaned the Netty and are slowly leaving town… The last ones will stay in Seyðisfjorður until the next ferry Wednesday evening and they are cooking for you a last radio show about emotions, more especially on 𝐻𝑜𝓌 𝓉𝑜 𝓈𝒶𝓎 𝑔𝑜𝑜𝒹𝒷𝓎𝑒

This morning @samanthalippett has invited friend and collaborator @prevettjames to join for the morning broadcast live from Helsinki. On air from 8:00AM (GMT)!
Last year, they launched the mobile community radio, @ooo_radio - or Out of Office and as they build its future plans, they were interested to respond @seydisfjordur.community.radio ’s plans for building a new radio school and speculate on the notion of schooling through the medium.
They will accompany the broadcast will be sound bites from Cornelius Cardew’s ‘The Scratch Orchestra’ from 1969. Pictured is part of Cardew’s graphic scores from ‘Scratch Music’, that emerged over the Orchestra’s intense three year life-span.
