I have long said that Ontario's multiculturalism is its strength. In #Mississauga , we have a rich diversity of ethnicities, cultures, and religions, each of which adds to the cultural mosaic of our province. As we continue to embrace this diversity, I wish all Ontarians peace and happiness.

Small businesses need to know that their government is creating the right environment for them to grow and flourish. But many #businesses face barriers on their road to success. That is why I asked @mpparmgill the Minister of Citizenship and Multiculturalism what Ontario is doing to make sure businesses owned by black, indigenous and other racialized entrepreneurs have the tools they need to succeed. Ontario is investing $5 million in the #RAISE grant. Successful applicants will receive a $10, 000 grant to help them innovate and expand their businesses. Now more than ever we need all of our #smallbusinesses to succeed. Our government is committed to making sure no one is left behind.

Our government recently announced the "Building Ontario Businesses Initiative" which would strengthen the province's supply chain and support businesses by prioritizing Ontario businesses for government procurement. Today in the legislature, I asked Minister @rossromanossm how this initiative will help Ontario have a strong economic recovery.

Ontario stands in solidarity with #Ukraine against unlawful Russian aggression. As the MPP, I have had the honour to work with the amazing Ukrainian-Canadian community in #ErinMills , including @IvanFrankoHomes . My thoughts and prayers are with the Ukrainian people during this difficult time.

I want to congratulate Councillor @mcfaddenward10 on the opening of the new Churchill Meadows community center & Sports Park. This community Centre will support future generations for years to come. This massive state of the art facility includes, a 65,000 square feet building and 55 acres of green space. Thank you Councillor Sue McFadden for your advocacy and support.

I rose in the house to ask Minister @rodphillipsmpp about our government’s commitment to Long Term Care. I am proud to say that we are investing in 27,000 new long term care staff, thereby increasing the daily direct care to four hours. Minister Philips pointed out that this historic investment will mean 1.5 million dollars will be injected into our riding of #MississaugaErinMills alone! And by 2024 our government will invest 50 millions dollars into #Mississauga itself!
